Dried Organic Oregano
This popular herb is most commonly known for its use in Italian cuisine and is a prized Mediterranean herb whose name means ‘delight of the mountains’. Although it is most commonly connected to Italy it is also popular in Greece and Asia.
Aside from tasting delicious organic dried oregano has an amazing array of vitamins and minerals in really high levels. It has been used for centuries in Greece and was thought to be provided by Aphrodite the goddess of love and beauty. It contains an array of naturally occurring essential oils including carvacrol, thymol, limonene, pinene, ocimene, and caryophyllene.
If you like experimenting with flavours it goes particularly well with marjoram, thyme and rosemary and it is often found in spice mixes.
