What Is Pea Mince?
This mince is made from yellow peas and unlike many other meat replacements, it doesn't contain any processed ingredients.
This mine is a fantastic in meals that traditionally use mince meat like bolognese, chilli, tacos, lasagne, cottage pie, curries etc.

As well as being made from a single, simple and nutritious ingredient, this pea mince is bucking the trend for plant-based meat substitutes to be overpacked in single-use plastic and presented like meat in a fridge.
Not only is this mince supplied in reusable packaging, it also rehydrates to three times its original size!

How To Cook Pea Mince
This mince needs to be rehydrated for 10 minutes at a ratio of 3/1 (boiling liquid/mince) before it is added to sauce.
Doing so will make it three times its original size (so don't worry about the smaller crumbs, they will get bigger!).
I would recommend rehydrating in stock (our Organic Vegetable Bouillon is perfect) but it can also be done in just water.

Handy and tasty protein addition to meals.
This product is great and I’m sharing mine with friends. Soak in a stock with the flavours you want - I make up onion gravy with a dash of Worcester sauce, soy sauce, few chilli flakes and pepper. I soak it for half an hour or I cook it gently with fried onions garlic and mushrooms - a great base for all sorts.
Easy to rehydrate and really does take on the flavour of any sauce. It has a nice texture like minced beef so use it in bolognese or chilli.
