Coconut Palm Sugar is made from the evaporated sap of the coconut palm tree. It has a caramel flavour and is slightly milder than rapadura.
Please rest assured that palm sugar is manufactured and harvested in a completely different way from palm oil and is not linked to deforestation.
Coconut palm sugar is most popularly used in baking for healthy treats that are refined sugar-free.
For cooking purposes, it has a very low melt temperature and an extremely high burn temperature. This makes it a suitable sweetener for confectioners.
