Dried fruits have been a favourite with hikers and wilderness walkers . These cherries are quite potent and could be taken one by one , and savoured slowly . To good effect , I have soaked some of them , and then used them in preparing a Pavlova - like Sweet [is it called Pavlova ? ] . Not strictly Vegan 'Meringue Nests' , I used , but these could easily be made to Vegetarian or Vegan recipes . The Recipe also calls for a Double Cream [whippable] substitute and to this I added the real Maple Syrup . Must first be offered to God , Gana-Pati , and only after that taken as Maha Prasad .
All was great.
